What is Facebook IPO?
News-Facebook priced its IPO at $38 per share on Thursday. Now, you(regular investors) will have a chance to buy stock in Facebook for the first time. The stock will begin trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market sometime Friday morning. The ticker symbol will be FB.

What is IPO-Initial Public Offering or a stock market launch  is the first sale of stock by a company to the public.An IPO  allows a company to tap a wide pool of investors to provide itself with capital for future growth, repayment of debt or working capital.

Facebook Position- Its value on the IPO is $104 billion.That's more than Amazon.com and other well-known companies such as Kraft, Walt Disney and McDonald's.Its amazing for a company that started form a college 8 years ago with no way to make money. It has a net income of $205 million in the first three months of 2012.

  1. Although Facebook is one of the best social networking sites these days. but if in the future a new site having more popular than Facebook then what will happen, Google will leave FB and try the new one site.
