10 things to do During Exam
When you know that your entire hardwork is being evaluated in few hours of Examination, its quite obvious to get tensed and nervous. But,it is really important that you keep your calm.Lets look at 10 things which one should do to keep the nerves down and perform to his/her true potential.
Before the Exam:
- Always try to reach the Exam centre atleast 15 minutes before the Exam.It would give you time to check your room and seat no.The mind is usually surrounded by so many thoughts before the Exam, reaching the centre early with fresh air can really help to settle your thoughts and focus on the Exam.
- Sometimes, seeing so many students can create panic and affect your performance,so its really important that you are not late for the day you have been preparing for.
- One more advice, drink some water before the exam, because a research conducted found that the students who took water before exam performed better than those who did'nt.
Sitting in the Examination hall:
- The mind can sometimes be very cruel.Negative thoughts of failure can spoil your day.The best way to avoid them is to think about happy days of your life, when you succeeded, when you achieved something. It can be anything from a sports victory to any celebration.I bet you will fell much better and relaxed. The shaking of legs would surely stop.Belive that your hardwork would pay and you will surely do well in the Exam.
Exam time:
- As you get the Answer Sheet or OMR ,fill the formalities immediately.Dont be careless at this because I have seen people crying after the exam ,I filled the wrong code, wrong application no,etc. So make sure you do it correctly.
- Now when the Question paper is in your hand, get started by reading the instructions carefully. You may find it a waste of time but its not. There may be options in some of the questions, some may carry different marks. So read it carefully to score high in the exam.It would be very bad to know after the exam that the question on which you wasted a lot of time was of just 1 or 2 mark.
- The next step is to read the entire question paper and mark the questions you are confident
- Now step by step, start doing the questions you have marked out and leave the hard questions, because 10 easy questions on a row can boost your confidence to crack a hard question.
- Keep an eye on the watch and manage time accordingly.Give sufficient time to each of the subjects in the question paper, so that you have no regrets after the exam.Ideally you should decide before the exam how much time you are going to give to each subject.
Do not write anything on the OMR sheet that is not required. You will be disqualified.
After the Exam:
- Finally when you have submitted your answer sheet to the invigilator, believe that you have done your best.Repenting and crying after the exam wont change your answers, rather it will affect your future exam preparation.
