Exam Tension...Relax and Have Fun
The upcoming exam  days are going to be very important ,but do you think taking extra pressure and tension would help you to succeed in any way?,I dont think so.Its time to be confident,calm down and let the negative thoughts go away.Various researches  have proved that A free mind is much more active than a tensed one.

Causes of tension
  • There can be many reasons,why you are not feeling well about your exams but the most common of all is the fear of failure.
  • Sometimes tensions may also arise if you start comparing yourself with some other person,and he has covered more course than you.
  • Tension can also come from the parents side.It has been very commonly observed that some parents put unnecessary pressure on their children without even understanding the mental situation of the kid.
  • Students sometimes feel that if they do not perform well in a particular exam (specially if is an entrance exam),their life is over.They keep worrying about the future and waste their precious  time.What would I do if I am not selected?
  • Stress is contagious.If one of your friend is in stress due to exam,try to calm him down but dont get affected.

How to beat the Stress?

Exams in todays life have become very important not only for the students but also for their parents.The competition is growing day by day.So its very important that both the students and the parents should work to release the stress so that you can perform to your true potential.

What students should do?

Revision tips

  • Develop a timetable to monitor your progress. Make sure you allocate adequate time for fun and relaxation as well.
  • While revising a subject, practise writing. This would be an actual simulation of the examination itself. Plan your revision and complete it in time. This will give you a sense of achievement and build your confidence.
  • While revising, vary subjects and their difficulty so you don't get bored or disheartened. Set realistic targets of what you can achieve in the time available.
Time out
  • To prevent mental fatigue, take a short break as soon as you notice your mind is losing concentration. Stick to activities that do not break your study continuum during these breaks. You will then be able to come back to your revision refreshed.
Maintain a regular sleep pattern
  • A regular seven hours of sleep is mandatory for the body to function well. Also, sleep at a regular time; don't alter your sleeping cycle. 

NO distractions 
  • Keep all unimportant issues at bay.
  • Right now, the examinations should be your only focus. Stay away from distractions that could cause loss of concentration or unwanted anxiety.
The power of positive thinking
  • Spend time with people who have a positive effect. It will rub off on you.
  • Avoid negative thoughts, such as 'Everyone else seems better organised, while I'm struggling.' Challenge such thoughts with positive thinking; for example, 'I have done well in exams before.'
 Practise relaxation techniques
  • Practise deep breathing, meditation and yoga as forms of relaxation. They help your body relax and reduce stress. Alternately, take a brisk walk in fresh air after your day's revision is over.
What parents should do ?
  • Stop putting unnecessary pressure,by comparing him/her with someone else because everyone has different capabilities.
  • Do not become a tyrant.Sometimes parents have a habit of banning everything during the exam.This isnt going to work because it would put extra pressure on the kid.Rather you should try help him/her out of   stress by understanding his/her situation.
  • Help your child to maintain a proper diet.Food rich in vitamins and proteins, such as green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits, are a must.The nutrients will help the brain stay sharp. Avoid food with high fat content.Don't hive  too much coffee, tea or fizzy drinks. Caffeine keeps  you up and reduces  the clarity of your thinking.
  • Spend sometime with you child and talk of positive things.


                                                          As it is said laughter is the best medicine,so laugh!!!!
