Cricketer Yuvraj Singh to write book on his father

Chandigarh: World Cup hero and cancer-survivor cricketer Yuvraj Singh will pen a book on his player-turned-actor father Yograj Singh.

"He is writing a book on me, whose title will be `Arrogant Master`. The book will deal with the days we spent together, what all incidents we went through, his journey in becoming a cricketer and his battle with cancer and how he came out of it with everyone`s blessings and support," Yograj Singh said.

In his early days, Yuvraj wanted to become a skater and was keen on playing tennis too, Yograj said.

On his son`s fight against the dreaded disease, Yograj said, "I want to say only that it has changed Yuvi completely.

"After his battle with cancer, he has evolved as a person, become more quiet and his whole complexion has changed. I also want to thank the Almighty, Yuvi`s millions of fans and the media, who supported him all through".

After remaining out of action for months, 30-year-old Yuvraj has made a comeback in the Indian team and is currently playing in the World T20 in Sri Lanka.

It’s time for the Group-A match between India and England. Both teams already have qualified for the Super Eight stage. This match will decide the Group-A top team of group stage. Both teams have won this crown. It will be the match between two defending champions. It will be the good battle between bat and bowl. India batting looks very strong but their bowling looks a bit weaker. England have a great advantage regarding their bowling and fielding over their batting.

ICC T20 World Cup 2012 Schedule and Matches

ICC T20 World Cup 2012 - T20 world Cup will be the biggest attraction of this month. It will be the fourth T20 World Cup. First T20 was won by India. This time it’s being played in our neighbour country Sri Lanka. Currently warm up matches are going on. Pakistan defeated India in the warm-up match but still Indian fans are hoping better from the team.

Yuvraj Singh is back into the team after defeating cancer and everybody is expecting the same sixer-boy in action. Harbhajan is also back into the team to crack the wickets of opposition with his “doosra” spin. 

Virat Kohli is in form and able to turn any match to India’s side. India team have a good batting line up with Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvraj and Kohli. All these things are making chances that India could hold the world cup again. As world cup is being played in SriLanka, and our team is familiar with their wickets. It can also be a helping point for our team.

All matches will be played at 3 stadiums in Srilanka. Their names are:

ICC Awards: Virat Kohli wins ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year 2012 Award

 

During the performance period, Kohli  played 31 ODIs and compiled 1,733 runs at an average of 66.65, including eight centuries and six half-centuries. His highest score, 183, came against Pakistan in the Asia Cup on 18 March 2012.

The independent voting academy of 32 highly credentialed cricket experts put Kohli first, ahead of such talented and in-form players as Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara and Lasith Malinga as well as Kohli’s India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Kohli said upon receiving the honour said, "I think I have tried to keep things as simple as possible and it's worked for me on the field."

"This year has been a learning curve along the way from the seniors in the team. It's been an all-round effort and I'm very happy to have won this award.

"It's always nice to be recognised by the ICC and it's a great feeling and it's the first time I've won one of these awards and it feels great," he added.
